PillarCare Engages with the Community Through Local Events, Initiatives and Charitable Efforts

Local Events:

  • Hampstead Heath Art Fair: As part of this creative gathering, we not only supported local artists but also promoted the importance of holistic care, emphasising mental, emotional, and social well-being alongside physical healthΒ

Raising Awareness

  • Camden School for Girls: Over the summer, PillarCare was honoured to present an interactive panel talk to 300 A-Level students, introducing them to important facts and information about dementia. This initiative aimed to educate the next generation about the realities of the condition and how it affects individuals and families.
  • The Lost Life of Tilly MacLeod: We were also privileged to be involved in the launch of The Lost Life of Tilly MacLeod, a powerful play that shines a light on the challenges of living with dementia. Our team gave a presentation ahead of the performance, helping to raise public awareness about the condition. These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to educating the community about dementia and supporting those affected.

Funding and Charitable Initiatives

  • Matt’s 100-Day Push-Up Challenge: Our Registered Manager, Matt, completed a 100-day push-up challenge in support of Cancer Research UK. His dedication and determination inspired the entire team, and we are incredibly proud of the funds raised for this important cause.

Walking for Dementia UK

  • In February, our team participated in the Walk a Kilometre a Day Challenge, raising funds for Dementia UK. Walking together each day throughout the month not only strengthened our team spirit but also helped increase awareness of dementia and the specialised care needed to support those affected by it.
